1844 Silk Inscribed Potholder QuiltDeep in the recesses of our museum collection rest several wonderful quilts. We have started a journey to more fully research these handmade treasures from Bangor's past and during this process we rediscovered an inscribed silk potholder quilt made by the ladies of the Bangor's First Church and Parish in 1844. The purpose of this page is to document our findings about the ladies who made this friendship quilt and the object itself.
